....blogging about my Artprize 2010 artwork....

.........just wanted to share that I am in process of setting up a new blog that will follow and explain what my process has been, mentally as well as physically, on creating my Artprize 2010 piece.....titled 'The Right Stuff". I decided to keep this blog for a record for myself, as well as for others who might have an interest in painting, or my artwork. Either would be a good thing. (.....disclaimer......if you are interested in learning how to paint etc, you may not necessarily be excited about my work......however, keeping in mind that I am self taught- you can follow along and see what it is like for a greenhand to create a 5 foot painting, or how it was for me.:) ....I hope also to blog, and even get some you tubing in about my experience at the show this year.

Having met Kayleen several months back, we have come to know her through her arduous and committed efforts to be a professional visual artist. A self taught artist who went after her medium with determination and persistence has emerged as one of the most exciting offerings we have in the gallery this year. Her quirky characters can’t help but pique the curiousity of the viewer and her mastery of her medium is a journey we feel very privileged to be a part of. More Excitement and Opportunities.........

I am so excited to announce that I am a thankful recipient of a McKnights Foundation Grant, the purpose is for a mentorship of sorts with a very favorite artist of mine, which I am so happy that he has agreed to take part of. I will announce the name of the artist when that permission has been given.

..And also as important to me, Your Art's Desire (on Minnetonka Mills) , this past Saturday chose a new selection of 11 paintings......

...AND most importantly...I thought being that this week is Thanksgiving, I would say Thankyou once again, to all who have supported my work, be it thru advise, feedback, and/or purchases. I could not do this with out you! Thankyou!- and a Wonderful Holiday Season To All! .....Kayleen
